On Sunday 26th June the Under 12’s played at the Wroxham tournament. We started well winning our first game with a solo effort goal from our captain Jack Paternoster, he ran the length of the pitch with the ball after making a fantastic tackle on the edge of his own box, putting it past the keeper with an assured finish, to get some early points on the board. Only an excellent free kick from Buxton separated the teams in the second game. Horsford then held 2 good sides to draws, with some examples of amazing defending, losing to Old Catton in the last game gave us used enough points to make the semi final.

Facing Buxton again, this time a last minute free kick from our own Stanley Harrell took us into extra time and penalties, which we won with a great save from our stand in keeper Robbie.

The final required confidence and concentration from Horsford which came from our leader Jack Paternoster. Both teams cancelled each other out again going to penalties. This time both sides berried their 5, so it was sudden death, with another great save from Robbie and Logan Edwards putting the last one past the keeper, a well deserved victory was sealed.

Thanks to all who played, it was a real team effort and a great result.
