This is a general update just to provide you with some information in regards to changes within our club.
As of this evening, we have added and qualified two additional Child Welfare Officers in Marie East, and Chris Brown. As you should know, Amanda Sheehy is still our Child Welfare Officer and should be contacted in the first instance.
All officers will receive emails sent to email@example.com or you can contact them individually using the details below:
If you ever have any concern, please do not hesitate in reporting it.
All club officials should hold an in-date CRC (DBS) check. Anybody over the age of 16 that is contributing to the team, be it assisting on a match day, assisting at training, refereeing, lines-person should have this check. If you feel this is ever in doubt, please contact us and we can investigate.
Inline with guidance from the Norfolk Women and Girls Football League, we have three club members that will be undertaking the role of Mental Health Support Officers. Once this training has been complete, we’ll update you with any contact details.
We will also have members updating their training to incorporate the Adults at Risk course from The FA once it’s available.
We have also had 2 new committee members join us recently in the Treasurer role in Abi Harvey and Trish Mellor, taking over the long-standing Shaun Crowe who we thank immensely for his support over the years.
We will soon be starting our Wildcats sessions for Girls aged 5-11 at Horsford Primary School, further details will be announced soon – but we are delighted to announce we have a coach in place with Charlotte Savage joining us. Charlotte has been heavily involved in the Norfolk FA Youth Council and is a great addition to our club.
Walking football is also set to start in the coming months, anyone looking to be involved would need to be aged 50+. We also need a person to administer the sessions or even coach if they would like. Please get in touch if you would like to get involved.
We are also exploring a disability football programme with Norfolk FA, hopefully we will be able to offer some further information over the summer.
A reminder that our annual tournament takes place on Sunday 5th May at Horsford Village Hall, we look forward to seeing you there!
Our Presentation Evening will take place on Saturday 8th June at Holiday Inn – Norwich North.
We have a number of teams still involved in cup/trophy and league title contests, best of luck to all those involved. Keep an eye on our social media pages if any teams are fortunate to reach the finals. As always, our scarves are available at the Mill Lane Mobile for £10!
Enjoy the rest of the season!
